The Music Video Mash Up National Gala
The Music Video Mash Up National (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) Awards Gala Night takes place this Friday July 22 @ The Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane – entry is free, and all are welcome.
At launch nights in respective cities on Fri June 10th teams of filmmakers and bands were paired off randomly and given 72 hours to create and complete a music video. Now submitted, clips are judged by a panel of industry experts across a number of categories (judges include the likes of Video Hits Executive Producer, Rachel Moor, ex-Dew Process music industry heavyweight and BigSound Executive Graham “Asho” Aston, and Australian Cinematographers’ Society National President and internationally acclaimed director/cinematographer Ron Johanson ACS).
There are over $10,000 worth of prizes across 10 different categories to be won, including Best Overall Music Video, Audience Choice Award, Best Songwriter, Outstanding Marketing Potential, Best Editor, Best Recording, Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Production Designer and Best On-Screen Performance.
