But what about Thomas the Tank Engine? Perhaps the best show ever made (has it won a Logie/Emmy/Brit award yet?). I don’t think a show has ever had me more obsessed, I was convinced my name was James (the proud red engine, number 5) for a number of weeks.

Also, were the poddington peas on in Australia? If not, well worth a youtube.

macca…reverse swing…he bowls at 80kms an hour, the ball will be lucky to make it to the end of the pitch. I’m with you undies, symo in for macca (even if he was born in england) and my grandma in for hauritz, seriously, the guy couldn’t spin on a merry go round.

Hauritz, not needed. How did little Chris Hartley not get a run as the back up gloveman. Manou is 30 and doesn’t have a quarter of the glovesmanship of Hartley and he has proved he can score a century, albeit not too often. I say give young Christopher Desmond Hartley a run and he won’t let you down. I think you might be a touch harsh on old Macca though. He is just the type to fly under the radar and get some reverse swing happening and snare some vital wickets. A hell of a lot more likely than Haurtiz. Let’s face it though there are times there where I am not sure that he knows which end of the bat to hold!
Selectors have generally done well for an overall 3-0 victory to the Aussies.

Lior is brilliant. I was lucky enough to see him at the Athenaeum in Melbourne on the same tour – the shadow performance throughout the whole performance added so much to the stories of his songs. Lior, as always, was very funny and charming in between songs.

The last thing he sang – he was born in Israel and I’m thinking it may have been a Jewish prayer, sung in Hebrew…

That’s disappointing to hear about a bad gig by the Basics. I haven’t heard them acoustic, but I know that with a full setup they’re top stuff.
